Genshin Impact is set in the fantasy world of Teyvat, which is home to seven nations. Every nation is ruled by a different god, which is called “Archon.”
When the number of anime fans was increasing day by day back in 2017-2019, there was a need for anime games. In 2020, MiHoYo/HoYoverse came up with an anime-style game called Genshin Impact. This game is set in an open-world environment and battle-style system with characters having magical powers different from each other. The story follows an adventure traveler separated from a twin sibling at the start of the game. The traveler then sets out on a journey across the nations of this game to find the lost sibling. He is accompanied by the guide Paimon. In this journey, the mysteries of the land are uncovered, and you get to learn more about the magical powers of your character.
Development
Genshin Impact’s development started in 2017 and is inspired by various anime and manga like The Legend of Zelda, world mythologies, and anime cultures. On release, the game got many positive reviews about its fighting mechanics, graphics, open-world theme, and many more features. The game was also subjected to controversy because some of its content was related to Chinese politics. The game grossed nearly $3.8 billion by the end of 2022 (estimated). This was also a record for the highest revenue generated in a year by any video game.
Elemental Magic
Characters can control one of the seven natural elements. Air (Anemo), Fire (Pyro), Water (Hydro), Earth (Geo), Electricity (Electro), and Plants (Dendro). When elements react with one another, they produce different effects. For example, if a Pyro attacks a target, the enemy will be inflicted with a fiery effect. A character can have two unique abilities. Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst. The Elemental Skill is an attack with a cooldown that can be used again after some seconds, while the Bursts are ultimate power attacks that can be used with an energy cost. It requires sufficient energy to work properly.

Updates
When Genshin Impact was released, only two of the seven regions were available. Sometime after the game’s launch, miHoYo announced that the content updates would run for months as the game was unfinished. It was said that the game would take years to complete. The estimated cost for ongoing development was said to be $200 million/year.

Keeping its anime-style legacy, Genshin Impact’s graphics are made visually rich and filled with vibrant colors. Every region from the seven main regions is built differently and gives different vibes while playing. Characters are beautifully animated with smooth movements and elemental abilities. Other details like rivers, grass, night skies, etc, are no less than a masterpiece.
Because of these high-quality graphics, it requires a good internet connection and a high-end device with a powerful chipset to control all these effects while maintaining smooth gameplay.
